Dear colleagues,

We are very excited to give you a warm welcome to the LASELS working group! The official kickstart for members will be in a couple of weeks, on December 10th with an introductory webinar. We have already been discussing and planning the potential functioning of this working group together with our advisory board for the last few months. Special thanks to them for the support and ideas for putting together this project.

This working group (WG) emerged due to enthusiasm during a collaborative publication on SELS for South America. Currently our group includes 36 members from 18 different countries (USA and Puerto Rico, Brazil, Germany, Uruguay, Switzerland, Mexico, Australia, Guatemala, Italy, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Netherlands, Portugal, Ecuador, Peru, United Kingdom). We celebrate the diversity of backgrounds and territories. Please visit our WG's page on the GLP website to see a list of all members, upcoming events, news relevant to the group, and more.

We hope you can join us for the webinar (more info below) so we can meet each other and discuss together the intended agenda for the WG. We would love to hear about your motivations and expectations.
