Dear colleague,
HAPPY SPRING FESTIVAL! 新春快乐! We wish you all happiness, success, and prosperity in this year of the Ox 2021. It is indeed wonderful to have another chance to celebrate a new year and all of the optimism and opportunity it offers us.
This month we are also excited to announce our first #featuredscientist, Mairon Bastos Lima. This new section of our website and newsletter will highlight the work of early-career and other researchers. We will be choosing members of our community who are doing interesting work and updating us (and their profiles!) on a regular basis. If you know someone who should be a #featuredscientist, let us know! By the way, here's a fun experiment to show you just how important an updated GLP bio is. Use your favorite search engine to search for your own name and affiliation. Does GLP appear in the top five results? Is it ahead of your university's page, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, LinkedIn and others? If so, then people are probably visiting your GLP profile before those other sites! Updating your profile only takes a few minutes, and you can cross-link to your other profile pages in the "Websites" section to ensure people see them, too. Log in at http://glp.earth, and use the "Request new password" tab if you have misplaced your credentials. If that doesn't work, just email us to get more help. Take good care all, Ariane de Bremond International Programme Office, GLP |
