Dear colleague, To say that it has been quite a year may be an understatement. Most of us have now reorganized our family and work lives multiple times; attended to friends, family, and community in need; made adjustments to our research and fieldwork plans; and certainly all experienced Zoom exhaustion! At the same time, we’ve bridged the distance by finding new ways to gather, share, and engage. Coming out of a hard year, we at the IPO find ourselves invigorated by all the good things generated by you all, the GLP community, and extend our gratitude for all for all of the ways that our Members, Working Groups, Nodal Offices and Scientific Steering Committee have risen to the challenges of this year. We have a lot of new and exciting things planned for 2021, and you’ll hear about these soon, but as this year comes to a close (and not soon enough), we thank each and every one of you again for making GLP such a thriving space for the land system science community. Take good care all, Ariane de Bremond International Programme Office, GLP |
